Gummy’s 6th Birthday was celebrated in Boracay. I chose the island because my Wowa has actually never been there! And as you may already know by now, our annual trip for Gummy’s Birthday also doubles as a celebration of my Wowa’s health completing 4 generations of women in our family! It was big for me to bring her to Bora because I know very very few people who haven’t been to this most-prized island of fine white sand and the most beautiful sunsets FIlipinos boast about! I can’t let my Wowa miss out! 😉
We booked at The Lind Boracay, one of the most recommended resorts to stay in now when in Boracay. It is almost at the tip of Station 1, beside Friday’s making it a peaceful nest. If you are looking for a prime place to stay at, with access to so many pools, including your own (just like in our room), or a higher vantage point to view the daily changing, multi-shaded, never-the-same sunset, The Lind would be your best bet.
The BBQ Dinner Buffet, kiddie breakfast buffet [table with mini macarons, spaghetti, chicken fingers to name a few of the kid-friendly food items] and pastry section; the gym, our own quiet piece of beach front sand are just some of the reasons I do not wish to leave the hotel except for when it’s time to watch the sun set. Oh did I mention that it is baby and kid-friendly (aside from the kiddie buffet)? The Lind has a Kid’s Club that’s filled with all sorts of activities, board and video games, toys for tiny tots and DVDs to watch! The hotel also offers primary baby care needs you may borrow should you have a toddler with you. Mummies, no need to pack the house. Just stay at Lind!
The highlight of our annual trip is of course, Gummy’s Birthday (March 7), that by now she already knows she can expect at least 2 surprise cakes anytime while having her breakfast or dinner; as well as activities to be revealed to her one at a time. Here’s how Gummy’s 6th went.
Concluded the day with a happy tummy care of Tartine’s BBQ Buffet Dinner and a complimentary massage by The Spa. Felt like it was MY Birthday too!
The days prior to G’s BDAY, we simply basked in the sun till it set – stared for hours in romantic nothingness, built sandcastles, stood and fell on paddle boards and rode the banana boat. (Thank God they dont allow “hulog” anymore. It was safe already for my 72y/o Wowa and 6y/o Amanda!)
Thank you Mr. Sun! Thank you Boracay! Thank you Lind! My daughter had the best time of her life (by far! and despite the inevitable lumot!).
THANK YOU LORD! Thank you for the provision, weather, travelling mercies, great health and the gift of life and family! Thank you for my daughter, Amanda!
